Forest Edge Home
Forest Edge Home
Bellevue, WA
The brief
Keep the forest close. Make room for life.
A modern family home shaped around its forest setting, pairing warm natural materials with expansive glass and a calm, highly considered building process.
The challenge
A sloping site, mature trees and limited winter light. The home needed to feel open without losing the privacy and intimacy that made the place special.
Our response
A sequence of timber volumes opens toward the forest. Expansive glass gathers daylight; deep overhangs and stone anchors keep the architecture grounded.

Timber, stone & dark metal
A consistent material language
The care is in the connections.
The same restrained palette carries through the house. Timber brings warmth, stone gives the spaces weight and dark metal draws a fine line through the details. Structure, interiors and site work were coordinated from early pricing through completion, so individual decisions could be considered as part of the whole.
